1.5mm Allen key |
Step 1
Unplug the three cables indicated in the picture below.
Step 2
Use an Allen key to remove the belt spring on the X-axis belt.
Step 3
Detach the air hose with the L-shape joint from the module seat.
Step 4
Snip off the cable tie that holds the 20-pin cable at the back of the module seat.
Step 5
Unscrew these two screws to remove the metal base.
Step 5.1
Remove the metal base by lifting the machine a little and taking out the base directly.
Step 6
Remove the top frame of the module seat. (1.5mm hex screw * 4 pcs)
Step 7
Remove the two black stickers on the top of the shafts.
If your machine does not have the stickers like the photo below, please skip to Step 8.
Step 8
Turn the stud in the middle clockwise to remove the entire bracket with the Z-axis motor.
Step 9
Unscrew the belt screw. Please hold the belt when unscrewing it to prevent the belt from being detached.
Step 10
Remove the belt by extracting it, or you can cut it off.
Step 11
Turn off the machine, remove the power cord, and flip the machine.
Step 12
Mark the rubber foot and screw that are close to the USB port.
The purpose of marking is that this foot's screw will be shorter than others, and it has to be in the same position.
Step 13
Unscrew these bottom screws.
(T8 screw x 6pcs & 3mm HEX screw x 4pcs)
Step 14
Flip the machine and unscrew the side screws (T8 screw x 2pcs)s
Step 15
Mark the screw holes on both sides with the pen.
The purpose is to remind yourself that the marked sides will be facing the work area when assembling.
Step 16
Move the module seat to a position that has a distance of around 10cm from the frame.
(The purpose here is to not block the X-axis gantry. If it is at the very back, it will be locked after lifting up, and the X-axis motor can't be reached. If it is in the middle, the Y-axis 38-pin cable might get damaged)
Step 17
Lift the upper frame with both hands and place it on the studs.
(Be careful not to get the wires stuck by the frames.)
Example of frame sitting on the studs:

Step 18
鬆開並移除右側白色惰輪。(銀色內六腳,應該是2.5mm)
Remove the white wheel on the right side. (2.5mm Hex)
Step 19
將新皮帶(環形),從右側口洞穿入X板金,然後套上白色惰輪(牙朝內側),然後惰輪帶皮帶推回鈑金內,鎖上螺絲固定。
Insert the new timing belt (loop type) through the right-side opening into the X-axis metal frame, then loop it onto the white idler pulley (with the teeth facing inward). Push the pulley and belt assembly back into the metal frame, and fasten it with a screw to secure it.
Step 20
將另一側的皮帶套上X馬達。
Loop the other end of the belt onto the X-axis motor.
Step 21
Screw back the belt screw.
Step 22
手動測試是否連動,並確定牙面朝內,若沒有連動,請回到步驟18,確定安裝是否正確。
Manually test whether the movement is synchronized and ensure that the toothed side faces inward. If the movement is not synchronized, please return to Step 18 to verify if the installation was done correctly.
Step 23
Restore the position of the upper frame.
Please note that the marked screw holes have to be facing the work area.
Restoring the frame:
Step 24
Screw the side screws.
Step 25
Flip the machine. Screw all the screws at the bottom.
Please note that the marked foot and screw will have to be in a position close to the USB ports.
Suggestion:
It is better not to fully tighten the screws at first as some screws might be misaligned and unable to have the screws put in. Therefore, it is recommended to tighten all the screws after all the screws are installed.
Step 26
Flip the machine. Move the module seat around to see if it can be moved freely.

Step 27
Try to loosen the rubber foot screw close to the USB ports and try moving the module seat again.
Step 28
Hold the bracket in place and rotate the stud in the middle counter-clockwise to install the bracket with the Z-axis motor.
Step 29
Apply the black stickers on the top of the shafts. If the stickers are not available, skip this step as they are optional.
Step 30
Re-install the top frame of the module seat. (1.5mm hex screw * 4 pcs)
Step 31
Place the base on a table, ensuring that the tenons protrude slightly from the tabletop.
Step 31.1
Lift the machine at a slight angle to align the mortises on the front end of the machine with the tenons on the base. Insert the tenons, and then place the machine on the tabletop.
Step 31.2
Screw back these screws to fix the base.
Step 32
Re-install the air hose.
Step 33
Re-install the spring on the X-axis belt.
Step 34
Replug these cables.
