Description:
Module detection being abnormal is usually caused by firmware having problems or the contacting surfaces of the module and the module seat not being clean.
Please follow the steps below to determine the condition of your machine.

Step 0 - Use the checklist to follow up the steps and put the results on record
This list marks down all the tests you've done in the tutorial.
After the tests are done, please kindly save the list as a PDF document and send it to your reseller or FLUX team.

Step 1 - Check the Module Setting in the Software
Select the correct module according to your installed module.
Refer to the next steps accordingly::
- Yes, the module is set correctly and works normally now >> Problem Solved
- Yes, the module is set correctly, but it detects abnormally >> Step 2 - Clean the Moudule and the Contact Surface (POGO Pin)
_____________________________
Step 2 - Clean the Moudule and the Contact Surface (POGO Pin)
The contact surface being not clean may cause the detection to be unstable.
Please refer to Laser Module Cleaning (10W/20W Diode Laser Module) for cleaning the module seat and the contact surface (POGO Pin).
Determine the result and the next action to take:
- After cleaning, it works normally >> Problem Solved
- After cleaning, it still has a detection problem >> Step 3 - Check the Icon on the Touch Screen
_____________________________
Step 3 - Check the Icon on the Touch Screen
On the top right corner of the screen, there is an icon that indicates your mounted module.
Icon Example:
—— 10W/20W Diode Laser Module
—— Printing Module
—— 2W Infrared Laser Module
Screen Example - Main Page:
Screen Example - Control Mode:
Determine the result and the next action to take:
- No, there is no module icon >> Step 3.1 - Check the installation of the module
- Yes, my module icon is there >> Step 4 - Exclude the possibility of firmware issues
_____________________________
Step 3.1 - Check the installation of the module
Please refer to the following pages to check if your module is installed correctly.
Determine the result and the next action to take:
- The installation is correct, the icon is shown, and the machine is working >> Problem Solved
- The installation is correct, the icon is shown, but an error pops up during work >> Step 4 - Exclude the possibility of firmware issues
- The installation is correct, but the icon is not shown >> Step 3.2 - Refresh the page of the touchscreen
_____________________________
Step 3.2 - Refresh the page of the touchscreen
Refreshing the page of the touch screen may solve the system being crushed or having no response.
Touch the FLUX LOGO on the top-left corner of the screen. The screen will start loading. In less than one minute, it will then back to the main page and this indicates the rereshing is done.
Determine the result and the next action to take:
- After refreshing, the icon is shown, and the engraving task is working normally >> Problem Solved
- After refreshing, the icon is shown, but an error pops up during tasks >> Step 4 - Exclude the possibility of firmware issues
- After refreshing, the icon is not shown >> Step 3.3 - Cross-check with another module (Optional)
_____________________________
Step 3.3 - Cross-check with another module (Optional)
In order to rule out the possibility of the module being faulty, trying out another module will be a good way to see if the problem comes from the module itself.
(Please skip this step to Step 4 if you don't have a second module)
Determine the result and the next action to take:
- Using another module, the icon is shown >> Hardware Issue: The original module is having a problem >> Please refer to the example video and record yours then send it to us (Step 5 - Contact Customer Service)
- Using another module, the icon is NOT shown >> Step 4 - Exclude the possibility of firmware issues

Step 4 - Exclude the possibility of firmware issues
An unsuccessful firmware installation might cause detection to be unstable.
Resetting to factory settings can eliminate the possibility of firmware issues effectively.
- First, Reset the machine to the factory.
(Main Page > Machine > Settings > Reset to Factory > Yes)
- After resetting to the factory, please refer to the page below to update the firmware。
Ador - Firmware Update
- After the above steps, please run the same task again to see if it works.
Determine the result and the next action to take:
- After resetting and updating the firmware, the detection works normally >> Problem solved.
- After resetting and updating the firmware, the detection is still having problems >> Hardware issue: Mainboard or Module itself >> Please refer to the example video and record yours then send it to us (Step 5 - Contact Customer Service)
