Description
This article will guide you on how to adjust the red dot pointer's path to align with the laser beam path.
When to Calibrate the Red Dot Pointer?

Tools
Please prepare the following tools:
|
Step 1
Please familiarize yourself with how to perform a laser pulse safely.
| A. Turn on the machine. B. Close the door cover. C. Go to Action and wait for the homing process to complete. (Ensure the door cover, back cover, and bottom icons are all showing as closed; otherwise, the pulse operation cannot be performed.) D. Locate the pulse button. E. Click once = one pulse, click twice = two pulses, and so on. ⚠︎ Always ensure the door cover and back cover are closed when pulsing. |
Step 2
Use a screwdriver to loosen the screws on the back of the machine, then open the back cover.
Step 3
Make sure the two screws on both sides of the red dot module are tightened. (3mm Hex Wrench)
(Due to the different sizes of the laser tube mechanisms, the installation direction of the red dot module for the 30W and 60W/80W models will be different.)

Step 4
Tighten the three adjustment screws on the red dot laser mount.

Step 5
Apply a piece of "double-layered" tape to the first mirror, then close the back cover and perform 2 pulses.
(Do not remove the tape; leave it on the mirror.)
Step 6
Open the back cover and check if the burn mark overlaps with the red dot.

Step 7
This step will adjust the horizontal position of the red dot.
- Loosen the three screws at the bottom of the red dot mount. (Use a 2.5mm hex wrench or a Phillips screwdriver)
- Move the mount to overlap the burn mark and the red dot horizontally.
- Tighten the screws.

Step 8
This step will adjust the vertical position of the red dot.
- Loosen the two screws on the red dot mount. (3mm Hex Wrench)
- Move the mount to overlap the burn mark and the red dot vertically.
- Tighten the screws.

Step 9
Place a new piece of double-layered tape on the first mirror and perform two pulses to recheck the optical path.

Step 10
Loosen the three screws to make it adjustable.

Step 11
This step checks if the optical path of the red dot and the actual CO2 laser are aligned and overlapping.
If they are not aligned, use a 2.5mm hex wrench to adjust the red dot module.
