Description
This article will guide you through the camera calibration process.
When camera calibration is required
1. When using the machine for the first time.
2. After the machine has been moved.
3. When there is a discrepancy between the camera preview and the actual engraving position.
Note:
Camera calibration is required before using the camera preview function for the first time after unboxing.
Step 1 - Check Software and Firmware Versions
Required software version: Beam Studio 2.6.2 or later
Required firmware version: 6.2.2 or later
Step 2 - Prepare Materials
Materials required (self-prepared):
A4 white paper or a light-colored board of a similar size
Step 3 - Start Camera Calibration
Create a new project, select the machine to calibrate, then click “Calibration” > “Camera Calibration”
Step 4 - Place White Paper
Place a clean A4 white paper at the center of the working area and secure all four corners with tape.
Step 5 - Drawing Calibration Pattern
Click to start drawing the calibration pattern
Step 6 - Align Markers
You can zoom in/out and adjust the image exposure to verify and move the red marker points so they fully overlap with the eight printed points
If the markers appear as shown below and are not on the white paper, please follow the steps below to adjust.
a. Drag the image to center the printed 8-point pattern, then click “Retake Photo”.
b. Manually adjust all marker points
