Because the machine's operating environment may vary depending on the scenario—such as a home, office, department store, or other settings—this function helps the machine adapt to different usage scenarios and stabilizes the laser output across different environments.
When is tuning needed?
1. The machine does not fire the laser at around 10% power.
2. The laser output is too strong at low power settings (e.g., the engraving is too deep, or it cuts through the object).
Laser Power Curve Tuning:
This function can be found on the control panel.
(Machine > Hardware Settings > Next Page > Laser Power Curve Tuning)
The upper value controls the low-power output, while the bottom value controls the high-power output. Generally, users only need to lower or increase the low-power section between 6-10 to prevent the laser from not firing or firing too strongly at low power. (Default parameters: LOW = 6-10 / High = 100)
How much should be adjusted?
*Note:
- The default setting is 6~10 / 100, but your machine might have parameters different from the default.
- Do not reset the parameters before tuning. Please tune directly based on your machine's original parameters.
Example #1:
A.
Your machine cannot fire the laser at 10% power.
B.
This indicates that the power curve for low output needs to be increased.
If the original value is 6, it is recommended to increase it by 2 points at a time, so the set value will be 6+2 = 8.
C.
Run a task at 10% power and observe if the machine fires the laser.
If it does, the problem is solved.
If it does not, please repeat Steps B to C to increase by another 2 points, and then run the task again until the machine can fire the laser at 10% power.
Example #2:
Your machine is experiencing issues when engraving at 10% power, as the power is too strong.
B.
This indicates that the power curve for low output needs to be decreased.
If the original value is 10, it is recommended to decrease it by 2 points at a time, so the set value will be 10-2 = 8.
C.
Run a task at 10% power and observe if the output is still too strong.
If it is not, the problem is solved.
If it is, please repeat Steps B to C to decrease by another 2 points, and then run the task again until the result reaches an acceptable level.
