In addition to the infrared preview function, Promark also supports camera alignment. Please prioritize the following steps to perform camera calibration before using the camera alignment feature.
Step 1 - Put the Chessboard Pattern
1-1. Place the black and white chessboard paper from the accessory box in the center of the work platform, ensuring that the paper is completely flat with no lifting, wrinkles, or marks.
⚠︎ If your chessboard paper is lost or damaged, you can download it from the camera calibration window or print this checkerboard file using a printer.
Please ensure the print scaling is set to 100%.
1-2. Adjust the focus to the appropriate focal length for the lens. (Note: It is normal for the displayed area of the chessboard to appear smaller at a 220mm focal length.)
1-3. Make sure there is no reflection on the chessboard and that each square is clearly visible. Click "Next" to proceed with taking the photo.
- If an error is displayed after taking the photo, it means that the chessboard pattern was not recognized sufficiently. Please check that the chessboard paper is correctly positioned, ensure there is no reflective light source nearby, and verify that the paper is flat.
- After capturing the chessboard, a score will be displayed. Typically, the score will be "Excellent."
Step 2 - Drawing Calibration Shapes
⚠︎ If you are using the Promark (Safety+), please refer to this link to enable the door protect function before you start the laser for your safety.
2-1. Place the black cardstock from the accessory box onto the work platform. After reconfirming the focus, perform the calibration point engraving.
2-2. After completing the calibration point engraving, please verify that the calibration points overlap with the red dots. Then, select the eight points in order and check if the calibration sequence displayed on the right matches the example shown below.
2-3. If the positions of the eight points in the photo are clearly incorrect or misaligned, try to remove any surrounding obstructions and ensure no noticeable reflection from surrounding light sources. Click "Retake Photo" until the eight points are correctly identified. Calibration will be complete once this step is finished.
