This article will guide you through how to start an engraving task with FLUX Rotary 2.0.

Note: Before starting the engraving, please use Beam Studio version 2.6.5. Additionally, the framing feature is used to verify that the accuracy of the engraving area and size is correct. (Referring to Step 17.) |
Rotary 2.0 can work with Beambox II with or without the Extension Pocket. Therefore, there will be two combinations in this article. Please see the instructions that correspond to your setup.
Beambox II + Extension Pocket + Rotary 2.0
Step 1Install the BB2 Extension Pocket Add-on, referring to the guide below. Step 2Please make sure you have the following software and firmware versions to use the rotary function.
Step 3Re-install the platform bracket. Step 4Measure your material's diameter or circumference and record it for later use. Step 5Please see the table below to install the correct rotary stands and choose the proper focus lens distance according to your object's diameter.

Step 6After installing the stands, ensure the machine is powered off. Step 7Place the rotary on the stands and insert the cable into the device.
Step 8Power up the machine and go to "Hardware Settings" to choose the correct focus mode. Machine >> Hardware Settings >> Next page >> Focus Mode >> Choose the correct one Step 9Place the material on the rotary and level it if necessary using the support module.
Step 10Perform auto-focus.

Step 12Move the nozzle tip to the center of the area you wish to engrave. Step 13Launch Beam Studio. Step 14Go to "Document Settings" and make the changes.
Step 15Go to "Rotary Setup" and make the changes.
Step 16Create an engraving object or import your own.
Depending on your design, it will usually be rotated 90 degrees to match the same orientation of the material. Step 17Use the "Running Frame" function to see the path of the engraving.
Step 18Once you've confirmed the engraving position, set the correct speed and power rate parameters based on your material. Step 19Close the door and start the task. Step 20Check the result. Step 21 (Optional)⚠︎ If you notice any abnormality in your engraving result, (shortened or elongated), please refer to the video below to adjust the rotation scale settings.
