Description
This article provides a detailed explanation of how to install and use the Beambox II Lightburn camera Add-on. Please follow the steps below to complete the installation.
Inside the Box
- Wide-angle camera module
- Camera cable
- LED fill light strip x2
- 1-to-2 splitter cable
- Cable clips x3
- Hex nut socket wrench
- Hex nuts x2
- Zip tie
Tool Preparation
- Phillips screwdriver
Step 1 – Power Off
Before beginning installation, make sure to turn off both the machine’s power and the main switch.
Step 2 – Install the Lightburn Camera Module Cable
2-1 Connect the camera cable to the camera module as shown in the diagram.

2-2 Remove the protective film from the camera module.
Step 3 – Install the Camera Module onto the Machine
3-1 Open the door cover and locate the two mounting studs on the top of the door cover.
3-2 Position the camera module on these studs, then use the included hex nut socket driver and hex nuts to fasten it securely.

3-3 Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the screws from the machine’s service cover and open it. (*Double-check that the main power is switched off.)
3-4 Peel the backing off the cable clips, attach them to the indicated spots inside the machine, and then guide the camera cable through the clips.
3-5 Pass the camera cable through the cable management hole on the machine’s side panel.
3-6 Arrange the camera cable neatly and secure it with zip tie.
Step 4 – Connect the Camera Module to the Mainboard
4-1 Locate the USB camera port near the front of the mainboard.
4-2 Unplug the USB connector currently in CAM2 and plug it into CAM1.
4-3 Plug the Lightburn Camera’s USB connector into CAM2.

Step 5 – Close the Machine’s Service Cover
After Step 4 is complete, the camera installation is done. Close the service cover as shown, and tighten the screws.
Step 6 – Install the LED Fill Light
6-1 The LED fill light strip is magnetic. Please attach it to the inside of the machine, facing the left area.
6-2 Plug the LED strip into the LED board at the front of the machine, then route its cable so it doesn’t interfere with the work area.

6-3 Attach the second LED strip to the inside of the machine, facing the right area.
6-4 Unplug the cable from the front LED board connector and insert a 1-to-2 splitter cable.

6-5 Connect both the original front LED strip and the right-side LED strip to the splitter (order is irrelevant). Afterward, route and secure the LED wiring outside the machine’s working area.
Step 7 – Power On and Check
7-1 Once you’ve completed Step 6, the Lightburn Camera Add-on is fully installed. Turn on both the main switch and the machine’s power to test it.
7-2 If the camera board light and the LED strip both illuminate after powering on, the installation has been successful.
