1. Installation
1.1 There are 4 items in the Rotary Module- the main body, T-handle, switch box, and 2 pieces of stickers for the switch box.
1.2 Remove the honeycomb platform by lifting out by tabs.
1.3 Place the main body into the machine. The black parts of the main body should be on the right side.
1.4 Remove the first screw on the left side of the right cover and open it.
1.5 Thread both two cables of the switch box through the hole at the top of the partition.
*For some old version machines, you have to thread both two cables of the switch box through the hole at the bottom.
1.6 Unplug the plotter board and Y-motor cable in the circle from the mainboard.
*Please refer to the motherboard version in the picture below if the machine's serial number is after FBB1CT2220001 / FBB1PT2220001.
1.7 There are 2 cables in the switch box. One is a plug, and the other is a receptacle.
1.8 Please insert the plug cable of the switch box to the Y-axis motor port on the mainboard.
1.9 Connect the Y-motor cable you unplugged from the mainboard to the receptacle cable of the switch box.
1.10 Plug the plotter board cable.
*Double check every cable is well installed.
1.11 Put on the stickers on the switch box and attach them to the right-bottom side of the chamber.
1.12 Insert the black cable of the main body into the switch box. Please keep the switch in the off position(↕) until the reminder asks you to switch it on.
1.13 Install the T-handle into the right side of the main body.
1.14 Make sure that the rotary function switch is in the off position. Having it on before being prompted gives confusing error codes.
2. Setting
2.1 Update the Firmware to the latest version. Here is the guidance for the firmware update.
2.2 Set the rotary settings on the machine's panel: MACHINE > Hardware Settings > Rotary Setting > Rotary 1.0 > OK.
2.3 Place your cylinder between two rollers. Adjust the distance between the two rollers to make the top of the cylinder touch the focusing probe. Fix the distance by tightening up the T-handle.
2.4 Use camera preview and drag the blue line to the middle of the object. Please keep the switch in the double-head arrows(↕) position when using the camera preview.
2.5 Since the parts of the cylinder are not all on the focal plane, you will see the result of the preview with a drop. Click the camera cursor at the top of the object again.
2.6 After clicking start, a reminder will ask you to switch on the rotary module(↻).
2.7 Close the cover and click START to continue the work.
