Description:
The error pops up when a low flow speed is detected in the system and the task will be paused.
The speed being slow will cause the laser tube to run at a higher temperature and it will result in reducing the lifespan of the tube.
Please follow the instructions below to troubleshoot the issue.
Possible Causes
|
Preparation Items:
Self-preparation:
1|Distilled Water
2|Water container
3|Cable tie
4|Diagonal pliers
Included in the accessory box:
5|Phillips screwdriver
6|Double-head wrench
7|Funnel
Step 0 - Use the checklist while going through the steps:
This checklist will be used to record all your taken actions in this article.
After completing the checklist, please print it to save as PDF and send it to your reseller or FLUX Support if necessary. This will be useful information for us to troubleshoot and narrow down the issue.

Step 1 - Check if the water is 80% full:
If your machine doesn't have enough water, this may affect the flow speed to be lower.
- Open the water pump cover with a Phillips screwdriver and check if the water is 80% full.
- Check if there is any leakage on the pump
Determine your result and the next action to take:
|
|
|
Step 1.1 - Fill up the water:
- Please refer to the video in the link below to add more water to the pump.
[5-5 Water Cooler Maintenance]
- After filling up the water, please check if the problem is solved by running a random task.
Determine your result and the next action to take:
|
|
Step 2 - Check if the water is clean:
Water being dirty will affect the flow of the water. Make sure to have clean water in the system.
Dirty example:

|
Step 2.1 - Change water:
- Please refer to the video in the link below to change the water.
[5-5 Water Cooler Maintenance]
- After changing the water, please check if the problem is solved by running a random task.
Determine your result and the next action to take:
|
|
Step 3 - Test the flow speed:
Please perform a flow speed test to see if the value is normal.
(Machine Panel > Machine > Hardware Settings > Flow Speed Test )
Determine your result and the action to take:
|
|
Step 4 - Check the water hoses:
If you have a bad value that is bigger than 0L/min and smaller than 1.0L/min, this indicates your whole system works okay, but the flow speed is too low and this might be caused by water hoses being bent or kinked.
-
Bent hose: (Bad example)
There are three locations where you can check for water hoses.
(If your hoses are bent or kinked, please try to adjust their positions.)
-
Location #1 - Water pump:
-
Location #2 - Radiator & Cooling fans:
(The side cover has to be opened first. Use a Phillips screwdriver to unscrew this screw.)
-
Location #3 - Laser tube:
(The back cover has to be opened first. Use a Phillips screwdriver to unscrew this screw.)
Determine your result and the next action to take:
|
|
|
Step 5 - Check if the water pump can be activated.
Please refer to the video below for instructions on how to perform the test.
(Machine panel > Maintain > Pump > Check the pump at the back)
-
How to check:
If a water pump is activated successfully, it will have two behaviors:
- The blue LED inside the tank will be ON.
- The water inside the tank will be pumped.
(You should see the water flowing or bubbles popping up slightly.)
Determine your result and the next action to take:
|
|
Step 6 - Try to physically activate the water pump:
Please take the following actions to try to activate the water pump.
If the blue LED is ON but the pump is not pumping:
- Enable the pump on the Maintain page first and pinch both hoses at the pump's inlet and outlet to apply pressure with your fingers.
(It could be the stuck air in the system that the pump is not able to push.)
- Enable the pump on the Maintain page first and try to knock on the pump with a hand.
(It could be the pump's turbine being stuck and causing the pump not to pump water.)
If the blue LED is OFF:
-
Replug the water pump's cable on the plotter board at the back of the machine.
Please refer to the diagram to find the water cable to replug.
(It could be the cable's connection being loose, causing the pump not working)
Determine your result and the next action to take:
|
|
Step 7 - Replug the cable of the flow sensor:
A bad flow speed may be affected by improper connection of the flow sensor.
-
Replug the flow sensor's cable on the plotter board at the back of the machine.
Please refer to the diagram to find the cable to replug.
- Once you've replugged, please run a flow speed test and see how it goes.
Determine your result and the next action to take:
|
|
Step 8 - Reflash SD card:
Please refer to the article to reflash your SD card and then run a flow speed test.
(The purpose is to see if this is firmware issue related or hardware issue related.)
Determine your result and the next action to take:
|
|
Step 9 - Report to the local reseller or FLUX Support:
- Please follow the instructions in the link below to properly report an issue to your local reseller or FLUX support. [Contact Customer Service]
- Make sure you've completed the checklist and saved it as a PDF file so you can share your taken actions.
*The collected information such as photos or videos that show the problem of your machine in this article will be necessary to be shared with the reseller or FLUX Support.
