The “Substitute Unsupported Characters” setting drop-down menu options are "On" and "Off" Beam Studio sets “On” by default.
If the “Substitute Unsupported Characters” function is set as “On.” , when the text you enter includes characters not supported by the currently selected font, Beam Studio will ask you during the path conversion whether to replace the irreparable fonts with supported ones for the path conversion.
The font replacement option will first search for fonts that can support all characters from the user's local fonts. If no such font is available, it will search from web fonts, and finally provide the font that can support the most characters as a replacement option.
When the automatic font replacement window pops up, if you choose "Use current font", it will cause the characters to become garbled or deleted after the path conversion due to the font not supporting the entered characters.
If the “Substitute Unsupported Characters” function is set as “Off,” Beam Studio will not find the supported font for replaced. If the font does not support the current character, the "口口口" symbol will appear. If the font supports the current font, it will be displayed normally.
Notice: The font will be different after replaced font by the “Substitute Unsupported Characters” function.
