- If you only replace the pump cable, please go to Step 19.
Step 9
(Continue this step only when you are replacing an air pump.)
Remove the nuts with a 5.5mm socket driver. Please keep the nuts securely, and do not keep them in the machine, as in the next steps, the machine will be put in an upright position.
Step 10
The air pump can now be unmounted with air hoses still connected.

Step 12
Detach the air pump from the foam and metal bracket.

Attach the other air hose to the new air pump.
Step 15
Place the air pump with the foam and bracket back in position. Leave it unscrewed for now.
Step 16
Push the module seat (X-axis) towards the fan to the end to prevent damage.

Step 22
Plug the new cable into the mainboard.
The cable will have to go underneath the fan towards the mainboard.
Step 23
Connect the wires to the air pump and use a pliers to press the pins.
(Black wire will connect to the red mark on the pump.)
Step 24
Tie the wires of the air pump cable with the one cable fixed on top of the fan by using a cable tie or tape.
