Step 1
Turn off the machine and remove the power cord.
Step 2
When facing the panel of the machine, on the left side, unplug the X-axis motor cable, remove the two 2mm hex screws, and remove the X-axis board cover.
(A long, thin hex driver is recommended, which gives more hand space.)

Step 3
Open/unlock the clip of the cable and unplug the cable from the X-axis board.
Step 4
Remove the X-axis board by unscrewing the bottom screw, as shown in the video.
Suggest inserting the screwdriver into the screw head first, then using both hands together.
After loosening the board, carefully remove the Y-axis 38-pin ribbon cable.

Note
If the screw is too tight to loosen, you can try using an L-shaped hex wrench to loosen it first, and then use a hex screwdriver to remove the screw.
Step 5
Guide the existing 38-pin ribbon cable through the pre-drilled hole on the X-axis control board and insert it into the board.
Ensure that the blue side of the cable faces toward the terminals/components and that it is securely inserted into the X-axis control board.
Step 6
Install the X-axis control board by screwing the 'short' screws underneath. (Screw Location)
On the side with adhesive backing, make sure it faces toward the sheet metal, as shown in the video.
Step 7
Install the 30-pin cable on the Z-axis board. The cable should be in the middle of the slot. If installed correctly, the clip should be able to be locked easily.
Please see the following description to confirm the position where the cable should be inserted and ensure that the cable is installed correctly.
-
The two edges of the cable slot will be slightly higher, as shown in the picture.
-
The cable needs to be inserted in the middle. When inserted correctly, it should be at the same height as the edges, as shown in the picture.
(The clip is not locked in the picture.)
-
Only by inserting it correctly can the clip be locked easily, and the cable should be parallel to the slot, as shown in the picture. (The clip is locked in the picture.)

Step 8
Turn on the machine and try auto-focusing to see if it works.
- It works normally > Please continue to Step 9
- The module doesn't move at all > Replug the 38pin cable > Bback to Step 3
- The module moves but focus fails > Replug the 30pin cable > Back to Step 3 and skip to Step 7
Step 9
Install the X-axis control board cover, tighten the two long 2mm hex screws, and reconnect the X-axis motor cable.
