LightBurn Bridge Cable - Driver Installation

* Typically, users don't need to install the driver. This product is suitable for mostly Mac and Windows OS versions.

This article is written for some computer systems that didn't have the driver by default. If you don't see any options that include "usbserial"(for MacOS) or "COM" (for Windows) in the dropdown menu in the lower-right corner, you will need to install the driver.

How to install

For Windows users

1. Click here to download the driver from the FTDI's VCP Drivers page.

2. Click to open the downloaded file.

3. Click "Next" to start the installation.

4. Select "I accept this agreement" and click "Next" to continue the installation process.

5. Click "Extract" to complete the installer.

6. The following message will be displayed to indicate that the installation is complete. Click "Finish" to close this page.

For Mac users

1. Please download the driver from the FTDI's VCP Drivers page according to your computer model.

2. Double-click on the file that was downloaded to your computer, and drag the "FTDIUSBSerialDextInstaller" file in to the Applications folder.

If you are using the driver for OS X 10.8 or older, you will see two files. Open up the driver file that corresponds with your operating system. For most users, it will be the second file:

Note: If you are unsure what OS X version you have, click the apple icon in the upper-left corner and choose "About This Mac". Version 10.X.Y will appear - use the 10.X to determine your system version.

3. Double-click to open the install package and click on "Install FTDI USB Serial Dext VCP" to continue the installation.

Note: Please open "System Settings > Security & Privacy" and click "Allow" for  applications downloaded from the following sources.

4. The following message will be displayed when the installation is complete
