Description
This article will guide you through how to start an engraving task with FLUX Chuck Rotary.
However, it is strongly recommended that you read through the FLUX Chuck Manual before your first engraving.
Note: Before starting the engraving, please use Beam Studio version 2.5.2. Additionally, the framing feature is used to verify that the accuracy of the engraving area and size is correct. (Referring to Step 19.) |
Chuck Rotary can work with Beambox II with or without the Extension Pocket. Therefore, there will be two combinations in this article. Please see the instructions that correspond to your setup.
Beambox II + Extension Pocket + Chuck
Step 1Install the BB2 Extension Pocket Add-on, referring to the guide below.
Step 2Please make sure you have the following software and firmware versions to use the rotary function.
Step 3Re-install the platform bracket.
Step 4Measure your material's diameter or circumference and record it for later use.
Step 5Please see the table below to install the correct rotary stands and choose the proper focus lens distance according to your object's diameter.
|
Object's Diameter | Focus Mode | Stands |
1mm - 29mm (Circumference: 3mm - 91mm) |
16mm (Lens at bottom) |
Short Stands |
29mm - 54mm (Circumference: 91mm - 170mm) |
4mm (Default - lens at top) |
Short Stands |
54mm - 79mm (Circumference: 170mm - 248mm) |
16mm (Lens at bottom) |
Long Stands (Included in Extention Pocket) |
79mm - 145mm (Circumference: 248mm - 455mm) |
4mm (Default - lens at top) |
Long Stands (Included in Extention Pocket) |
Focus Mode Explanation
By default, the focus lens will be at the top, and the focus lens will be 4mm, meaning the distance between the nozzle tip and the surface of the material will have a distance of 4mm.
