Recommended Cleaning Frequency
Based on usage and material type, it is recommended to clean the components every 1–2 weeks.
Maintenance Procedure
When engraving paper-based or wooden materials, dust and oil residue may accumulate on the mirrors. Use a cotton swab dipped lightly in alcohol to clean the mirror surface. Gently wipe until no contaminants remain.
Required Tools
- T8 Torx Wrench (included in the accessory box)
- Cotton swabs
- 75%–99% Alcohol
beamo II contains three reflection mirrors, one focus lens, and one laser-tube focus lens that require regular cleaning. Their positions are shown in the diagram.
⚠︎ After cleaning, ensure there is no moisture left on the lenses to prevent oxidation, which may reduce laser power. Avoid excessive wiping.
Step 1 – Remove the Rear Cover
Step 2 – Clean the Laser Tube Focus Lens
The laser tube focus lens is located on the low-voltage end of the laser tube (the side facing the first mirror). Clean the lens as shown below.
Step 3 – Clean the First Mirror
The first mirror is located on the low-voltage end of the laser tube, facing the machine frame.
Step 4 – Reinstall the Rear Cover
Step 5 – Clean the Second Mirror
The second mirror is located on the left Y-axis.
Step 6 – Clean the Third Mirror
The third mirror is housed in the triangular mirror mount on the X-axis linear rail.
Step 7 – Clean the Focus Lens
The focus lens is located inside the laser head, directly beneath the third mirror.
Place a material in the center of the work area to prevent the lens from falling, then remove the focus lens.
Clean the focus lens.
Step 8 – Reinstall the Focus Lens
Ensure the convex side faces upward when reinstalling the lens.
