beamo II - Water Pump Replacement

Step 1

Turn off the machine, and remove the power cord.

Step 2

Remove the front metal cover. (T8 torx screw * 10 pcs.)

Step 3

Remove the back metal cover.

Step 4

Unplug the cables on the laser PSU.

Step 5

Remove the four screws on the laser power supply.

Step 6

Remove the laser PSU and place it aside temporarily.
(The cable of the PSU is still connected to the laser tube at the moment.)

Step 7

• Unmount the water pump from the frame of the machine.

• Remove the cable of the water pump from the mainboard.

Step 8

Place the rags all around the mainboard and the wires inside the machine.

Step 9

Remove the metal clips on the water hoses.

Step 10

Detach the water pump from the water hoses and the water pump can then be removed from the system.
Please make sure to prepare the hose plugs in advance, as when the pump is detached, the water is likely to leak. Using the plugs at once is suggested.
(The paper towel is used to prevent the water hose from being damaged by the pliers.)

Step 11

• Drain the water in the pump.
  

• Remove the seat from the pump.
  
  

Step 12

Reinstall the seat on the new water pump.

Step 13

• Connect the water hoses to the new water pump.

• If you find the water hose is bent as in the video, please try to twist the water hose to make it unbent.

Step 14

• Remove the rags and screw the water pump on the frame.

• Connect the cable of the pump to the mainboard.

Step 15

Place the laser PSU in its position.

Step 16

Fix the PSU with the four screws.

Step 17

Plug the cables into the laser PSU.

Step 18

Plug the Type-C cable into the mainboard. Make sure the white dot on the cable is facing downward.

Step 19

Reinstall the front metal cover. Ensure the Type-C cable's white dot is facing up, as in the video.

Step 20

Add water to the system.
