Phillips screwdriver (Long) |
Step 1
Turn off the machine and unplug the power cord for safety reasons.
Step 2
Remove the front metal cover. (T8 torx screw * 10 pcs.)
Step 3
Disconnect the cables from the laser power supply unit (PSU).
Step 4
Remove the four screws on the laser power supply.
Step 5
Remove the laser PSU and place it aside temporarily.
(The cable of the PSU is still connected to the laser tube at the moment.)
Step 6
Disconnect both cooling fan cables from the mainboard.
| If the slot locations or the mainboard appearance differ from the video, refer to this diagram. |
Step 7
If any cable ties secure the fan cables, cut and remove them.
Step 8
Remove the four Phillips screws securing the left cooling fan (the fan closest to the mainboard), then remove the fan. The ground wire is secured by one of these screws.
| Note: If you don't need to replace the right-side cooling fan, skip to Step 14. |
Step 9
|
Note: |
If you are replacing the right cooling fan, remove the back metal cover.
After removing the cover, go to the next step.
Step 10
Disconnect the laser tube's ground wire from the terminal.
Step 11
Using a 3 mm hex key, remove the eight screws securing the laser tube mounts. Leave the water hoses connected. Carefully reposition the laser tube to gain access to the mounting screws for the right cooling fan.
Step 12
Remove the four Phillips screws securing the right cooling fan (the fan closest to the laser tube), then remove the fan.
Step 13
Install the new right cooling fan and secure it with the four Phillips screws. Make sure the cable-routing opening on the fan is oriented the same way as on the original fan.
Step 14
Install the new left cooling fan (the fan closest to the mainboard) and secure it with the four Phillips screws. Reattach the ground wire using the same mounting screw that originally secured it.
Step 15
Reconnect both cooling fan cables to the two cooling fan connectors on the mainboard.
| Either fan cable can connect to either connector; no specific order is required. |
Step 16
Place the laser PSU in its position.
Step 17
Fix the PSU with four screws.
Step 18
Plug the cables into the laser PSU.
Step 19
|
Note:
|
Install the front metal cover. Ensure the Type-C cable's white dot faces up, as shown in the video.
Step 20
Return the laser tube and its mounts to their original positions. Using a 3 mm hex key, reinstall and tighten the eight mounting screws. Make sure the cables and wires will be underneath the bottom openings of the laser tube mounts.
Step 21
Reconnect the laser tube ground wire.
(The grounding wire has to be on the same side as the other one.)
Step 22
Perform optical path alignment after reinstalling the laser tube.
