Step 1
Turn off the machine, and remove the power cord.
Step 2
Remove the front metal cover. (T8 torx screw * 10 pcs.)
Step 3
Remove the back metal cover.
Step 4
Unplug the cables on the laser PSU.
Step 5
- Remove the four screws on the laser power supply.
Step 6
Remove the laser PSU and place it aside temporarily.
(The cable of the PSU is still connected to the laser tube at the moment.)
Step 7
Take a photo at the wires connected on the 12V PSU.
The purpose here is just in case if you forget where the wires should go.
Step 8
Disconnect the wires on the 12V PSU using a screwdriver.
Step 9
There are two screws that hold the 12V PSU. Remove the two screws so the 12V PSU can be removed.
One is at the front-left side, and the other at the back-right side.
- Remove the screw on the left side of the 12V PSU.
- Loosen the screw on the right side, which is screwd with a grounding wire.
(The screw does not need to be removed. Loosening is enough.)
Step 10
Install the new 12V PSU.
Step 11
Connect the wires on the 12V PSU.
Step 12
Place the laser PSU in its position.
Step 13
Fix the PSU with the four screws.
Step 14
Plug the cables into the laser PSU.
Step 15
Plug the Type-C cable into the mainboard. Make sure the white dot on the cable is facing downward.
Step 16
Reinstall the back metal cover.
Step 17
Reinstall the front metal cover. Ensure the Type-C cable's white dot is facing up, as in the video.
