beamo II - Z-axis Board Replacement

Step 1

Turn off the machine, and remove the power cord.

Step 2

Detach the air hose from the top of the laser head.

Step 3

Remove these four screws.

Step 4

Unplug the Z-axis motor cable (4-pin).

Step 5

Detach the camera cable (Small golden flat cable). Note that the lock on the cable slot must be opened.

Step 6

Detach the X-axis 34-pin flat cable. Note that the lock on the cable slot must be opened.

Step 7

Arrange the air hose if it blocks the board or the board is stuck to it.
Unplug the 20-pin cable, and the board can then be removed completely from the system.

Step 8

Plug the 20-pin cable into the new board.

Step 9

Insert the X-axis 34-pin flat cable. Make sure the lock on the cable slot is securely locked.

Step 10

Insert the camera cable (Small golden flat cable). Make sure the lock on the cable slot is securely locked.

Step 11

Plug the Z-axis motor cable (4-pin) into the board.

Step 12

Fix the board with the four T8 torx screws.

Step 13

Reconnect the air hose to the laser head.
