beamo II - Passthrough Engraving Guide

Description

This article will guide you through starting an engraving task with the passthrough function.

Step 1

Install the beamo II Extension Base Add-on, referring to the guide below.

Step 2

Prepare the safety key that comes with the machine. Insert the key into the machine.
Make sure the jumper is installed securely.

(The Auto-feeder function is a Laser Class 4 function. Therefore, by following the regulation, the setting must be done.)

Set the safety key function on the screen.
Machine >> Hardware Settings >> Next Page(s) > Safety Keys Settings.

Enable the function >> Set password >> Choose Class 4 >> Agree >> Save.

Turn the key to the "Green" position, and you may be asked to enter the password.

Red - Vertical (Machine cannot be used.)	Green - Horizontal (Machine can be used)

Step 3

Place the honeycomb on the work area. Move the drawer to the proper layer depending on your material's thickness. (Usually, the second layer is used mostly.)

Step 4

Insert the material into the machine and perform auto-focus. Depending on your material's thickness, placing some materials to raise the target material may be suggested; otherwise, the auto-focus probe may not reach the surface of the target material.

When inserting the material, please avoid getting the material stuck by the power cord and the vent hose, as in the bad examples below.

Step 5

Move the laser head to the engraving target area of your design. (Where you want to start the engraving.)

Step 6

• Launch Beam Studio and import or create a file.
  

• Set the correct parameters based on your material.
  

• Enable the current position for the starting position in document settings.
  
  

• Start the task.
  

Step 7

Check the result.
