Step 1
Turn off the machine, and remove the power cord.
Step 2
Open the side cover to see the machine inside.
-
Use a Philips screwdriver to open the cover.
Step 3
Take photos of the entire 12V PSU wiring setup. Please make the photos as clear as possible.
The purpose is to prevent you from forgetting where all the wires go when installing the new one.
(If you forget where the cable should go, please refer to the diagram for the latest setup.)
Step 4
Unplug the cable from the laser power supply.
Step 5
Open the lid and unscrew the two T8 screws at the back of the 12V PSU.
The PSU can then be unmounted from the sheet metal.
Step 6
Remove all the wires on the 12V PSU, and the 12V PSU can be removed completely from the machine.
You can again take photos before removing the wires in case you forget where the wire should go.
(The screws don't have to be removed. The wires can be extracted when the screws are loose.)
Step 7
Ensure the voltage on the 12V PSU is switched to your voltage source by your country or environment.
The switch is on the side of the PSU. Please switch to 115V or 230V according to your environment.
(If you don't know your voltage, you can refer to Wikipedia)
Step 8
Reconnect all the wires on the new 12V PSU.
- Ensure that these wires on the green connector will go to the "L", "N", "⏚".
Red goes to "L".
Blue goes to "N".
Green/Yellow goes to "⏚" (Ground)
- The black and black/red will go to "-V".
- The red and purple will go to "+V".
(Please ensure that this red is not from the green connector.)
Step 9
Mount the 12V PSU on the stud.
Step 10
Screw the T8 screws along with the PSU.
Step 11
