Description
The triangular prisms are an accessory that comes with the machine. They have two main uses. Please refer to the following instructions.
Prevent Materials from Charring
When cutting with a machine, the laser light will burn through the workpiece, contact the aluminum foil paper at the bottom of the machine, and then reflect on the back of the workpiece, resulting in burning or charring, as in the following example.
Before using the prisms:
After using the triangular prisms to raise the workpiece, the contact between the workpiece and the reflected laser light is reduced, so burning or charring can be avoided, as in the following example.
The way to raise the workpiece with prisms
After using the prisms:
Measure the Focus Distance
The standard focusing distance is 12mm. (The distance between the laser module nozzle and the workpiece), and one side of the triangular prism is designed to be 12mm so that it can be used as a distance measurement tool.
Please refer to this page for usage and measurement methods: Focus Distance Adjustment (Ador)
