Working Order
The machine processes tasks according to the order of the layers in Beam Studio. If you need a specific sequence, arrange the layers by dragging them. The task will start from the top layer and proceed downwards.
Importing SVGs
When importing SVG files into Beam Studio, you can select a layering style: "Layer", "Color", or "Single Layer". Here’s how each option works:
1. Layer:
Choose this method if your external software (mainly supported for Adobe illustrator) file already has predefined layers. This option will maintain the original layer structure from the imported file.
2. Color:
Select this method if your file contains objects in different colors. Beam Studio will automatically create layers based on these colors, allowing you to manage each color-coded section separately.
3. Single Layer:
Use this method if you do not need to set different power and speed settings for various parts of your design. This option merges all elements into a single layer, simplifying the cutting or engraving process.
Changing Layer Color
Click the layer color box to change the layer color.
Renaming Layers
Double-click or right-click to rename the layer.
Skipping Layers
If there are layers you temporarily do not want to cut or engrave (such as reference layers), you can skip them by using the "hide" function. Click the eye icon next to the layer to hide it, which will exclude it from the current task.
