Step 1
Turn off the machine, and remove the power cord.
Step 2
Open the side cover to see the machine inside.

Use a Philips screwdriver to open the cover.
Step 3
Take photos of the entire mainboard setup.
The purpose is to prevent you from forgetting where all the cables go when installing the new one.
(If you forget where the cable should go, please refer to the diagram for the latest setup. Do not use the photos below, as the mainboard's version may vary.)
Step 4
At the top of the mainboard, there are two similar cables. One is for the Z-axis motor, and the other is for the Y-axis motor.
To prevent these cables from being plugged into the wrong sockets, we strongly recommend marking the cables.

- Unplug the Z-axis cable and mark "Z" on the connector.
There is a sign for the Z-axis motor on the mainboard, which you can use to determine where the Z-axis cable will go on the new mainboard.
- Unplug the Y-axis cable and mark "Y" on the connector.
There is a sign for the Y-axis motor on the mainboard, which you can use to determine where the Y-axis cable will go on the new mainboard.
- Unplug the Z-axis cable and mark "Z" on the connector.
Step 5
Unplug the air tube at the top-left of the mainboard.
Step 6
Unplug other cables on the mainboard.
Step 7
Unscrew the screws that fix the mainboard. (2.5mm Hex screw x 6pcs)
The mainboard can then be removed completely from the machine.
- Top-left
- Bottom-left
- Top-right
- Bottom-right
- Top-middle
- Bottom-middle
- The mainboard can then be removed from the machine.
Step 8
Install the new mainboard by screwing those 2.5mm hex screws.
Make sure the Z-axis and Y-axis motor sockets will be at the top when installing.
Step 9
Replug the Z-axis motor and Y-axis motor cables.
- There is a sign for the Z-axis motor on the mainboard, which you can use to determine where the Z-axis cable will go on the new mainboard.
- There is a sign for the Y-axis motor on the mainboard, which you can use to determine where the Y-axis cable will go on the new mainboard.
Step 10
Replug all other cables.
(If you forget where the cable should go, please refer to the diagram for the latest setup. Do not use the photos below, as the mainboard's version may vary.)
Step 11
Ensure the air tube is plugged firmly and securely.
Step 12
Close the side cover and tighten the screw.
Step 13
Turn on the machine.
Reflash the mainboard firmware and update the firmware to the latest version.
- Reflash the mainboard firmware.
