How to perform Auto Fit?
Preparation: Place your material on the work area.
- Ensure the materials and background are free of marks or dirt.
- Ensure the materials contrast with the background: light-colored materials should be placed on black paper or dark-colored materials on a white background for easy identification.
- Place only one type of material at a time, ensuring the materials are uniform in shape, size, and color.
- Maintain at least 5mm spacing between each material to ensure clear contours.
| How to place the material correctly? | |
|
✅ No marks or shapes other than materials in the camera review. ✅ Place only materials with the same shape and color. ✅ Maintain spacing and arrange neatly. |
|
|
❌ Materials or background with dirt. ❌ Placing multiple shapes of materials at once. ❌ Materials not spaced well or overlapping.

Possible Causes of Auto Fit Failure
-
Using potentially reflective materials. (e.g., acrylic):
- Placing potentially reflective materials near a light source may cause noticeable reflection, making contours hard to identify.
- Suggestion: Using the non-reflective material as background. And move materials slightly away from the light source and position them centrally to reduce reflection.
-
Visible Shadows in Camera Preview:
- For example, Ador users might see that when the material is placed near an indoor light source, thicker materials can create shadows that affect the accuracy of material shape recognition.
- Suggestion: Place the material as close to the center of the Ador workspace as possible to minimize shadow creation.
-
Camera Stitching discrepancy (e.g., B Series Machines):
- Stitching may cause shadows and alignment gaps, making it difficult to recognize material shapes.
- Suggestion: Check for significant stitching discrepancy during camera preview and redo the preview if needed.
Note: Auto Fit may cause angle discrepancy on some difficult-to-judge shapes. Please recheck the position of all engraved objects after auto fitting.
