Feature Overview
Print and Cut is designed for applications that require laser cutting along the outline of a printed design.
Beam Studio adds registration marks to the print file. After placing the printed material in the laser machine, the camera recognizes these marks, automatically corrects the material’s actual position and angle, and aligns the cutting path with the printed design.
Even if the material is slightly shifted or rotated when placed in the machine, the registration marks can correct the alignment and reduce deviations between the printed design and the cutting position. This is suitable for stickers, cards, and other projects that require contour cutting after printing.
How to Use Print and Cut
1. Go to Preferences > Edit > Enable UV Print File.
2. In Layers, switch the module to UV Print.

*Note: Keep the image within the A4 area and leave print margins to prevent the design from being scaled during printing. *Note: Do not change the design scale when printing, as this may affect registration-mark detection and alignment accuracy. |
3. Go to Tools > Print and Cut.
4. Adjust the offset distance of the outer contour.
5. Select the size and orientation of the exported PDF.
6. Select the design array and adjust the spacing.
7. Export the PDF file for printing. (You can use this file directly on your UV printer.)

8. Place the printed material in the machine and set the focus.
9. Complete the preview and alignment, then click Done.
10. Return to the canvas and edit the layer parameters.
