Please follow the instructions below for checking and adjusting the focus distance:
Step 1:
Prepare a piece of solid material such as acrylic or wood..etc. and a cone spacer that came with the machine in the accessory box.
Step 2:
Put the material in the center of the bed and press the "AF" button twice to perform autofocus.
Step 3:
Use the cone spacer (12mm) to fit in the gap between the nozzle tip and the surface of the material. Determine if your focus distance is too short or too long.
Acceptable:
Too short:
Too long:
For 1.5" Short Lens Add-on (Link):
Step 4:
Go to the “Probe error correction” setting page
(Machine >> Hardware Setting >> “Next page” >> Probe error correction)
Step 5:
Setting the value to “-” will lower the bed by the unit of mm.
Setting the value to “+” will raise the bed by the unit of mm.
Example 1:
If your cone spacer can’t fit in, it indicates that you have a short distance, so you will have to lower the bed by setting it to a negative value.
Example 2:
If your cone spacer is able to fit in, but there is a lot of space between the top of the spacer and the nozzle tip, this indicates that you have a long distance, so you will have to raise the bed by setting it to a positive value.
