Ador Rotary - Start Engraving
Step 1
Please make sure you have the following software and firmware versions to use Ador's rotary function.
Beam Studio Version 2.3.8 or above (Guide) |
The firmware version 5.3.3 or above. (Guide) |
Step 2
Turn on the machine and install the module.
Refering to the links in the table below for the installation guides of modules.
Step 3
Place your object on the rollers.
The available size range for the object is 3mm - 140mm.
For 3mm - 5mm objects, the auto-focus function is not available, so manual focus is required.
Here is a demonstration of how to adjust the rollers of the rotary.
(Simply press and hold the button at the right, and the rollers can be moved freely)
Depending on the shape of the objects, please see the guides below for how to properly place your object: Cylindrical objects, Cone objects, Goblets

Step 5
Place a piece of tape at the center of your object.
This will be helpful to find the center of the object when using camera preview and the software.
Step 6
Launch Beam Studio and load your file or image. Set the work area to Ador and enable the rotary function.
Step 7
Set the parameters of the task according to your material and your module.
In my example, the text will be in a single color in black, color code, #000000.
- Select the file, and enter the object settings.
- Set the text to black, color code #000000 with no stroke.
- Go back to the layer settings.
- Right-click on the color icon to change the settings to single-color mode.
- Select the color black to make this layer black.
- Use the default parameters or customize yours.
Step 8
Check if the pre-spray plate has to be installed or not.
- If your honeycomb is in the top layer of 37mm / 1.4 inches, the pre-spray plate does not have to be installed. Directly place the priming sticker around the two openings.
- If your honeycomb is in the other layers lower than 37mm / 1.4 inches, insert the pre-spray plate on the right side of the work area and place the priming sticker on the plate.
Step 9
Take a photo and place the text or design on your printing object.
- Close the door and perform a camera preview to take a photo.
- After taking the photo, place your image on the object and rotate it if necessary.
- Drag the blue line in the middle of your object to set the center point.
(In Ador Rotary Mode, the pre-spray icon in the software will disappear as the pre-spray area will be automatically set to the plate around the two openings.)
Step 10
Start the task.
Step 11
After you start the task, you will be asked to change the color cartridge several times until the task finishes. Please follow the instructions on the touch screen of the machine.
Step 12
Check the result.
