Description:
The #902 error is usually caused by the environment's Temperature (Room Temperature) being too high. It can also be caused by a cooling system failure, where there is not enough water or the cooling fans are not working. Please follow the steps below to determine what causes the issue.
Possible Causes
|
Step 1 - Check the Water Temp. Threshold:
This setting is to stop the machine when the set Temp. is reached. (The default is 34°C.)
(Machine > Hardware Settings > Water Temperature Threshold)
Determine your result and the next action to take:
|
|
Step 2 - Check if the water is 80% full:
If your machine doesn't have enough water, this may affect the flow speed to be lower.
-
Open the back metal cover with the Torx screwdriver.
- Check if the water level is 80%.
- Check if there is any leakage on the pump.
Determine your result and the next action to take:
|
|
|
Step 2.1 - Test the flow speed:
Please perform a flow speed test and see if the value is normal.
(Machine Panel > Machine > Hardware Settings > Flow Speed Test )
[1.5L/min or above will be a normal value. If the value is below 1.5L/min, it is abnormal.]
Determine your result and the next action to take:
|
|
Step 3 - Check the cooling fans:
There are two cooling fans in the machine and they are underneath the screen.
Each one of them has to be working well in order to cool the water. Please see the instructions below to check the fans.
-
Remove the front metal cover. (Machine Off)
If you have already removed it, please skip this part.
- Remove the screen and connect the Type-C cable to the RK board.
(Make sure the white dot on the Type-C cable is facing up.)
-
Turn on the machine and enable the cooling fans to check if they are functioning properly.
There will be two fans underneath the screen and the power supply. You can see if the fins is spinning or not when the pump is enabled in the control mode.
Determine your result and the next action to take:
|
|
Step 3.1 - Re-update the firmware
If the fans are not able to be turned on, it could be caused by a firmware failure.
In order to exclude the possibility of firmware issues, please re-update the firmware of the machine.
Update the Firmware to the latest. Please refer to the link below.
4-7 Firmware Update
- After the update, enable the fans again to see if they are now working.
(Refer to Step 3)
Determine your result and the next action to take:
|
|
Step 4 - Cool down the machine to 27°C or below:
- Try to cool down the machine to 27°C by turning off the machine, turning on the air conditioner, fans,...etc. Make sure your room Temp. is lower than 27°C.
- After the step above, check the Temp. on the panel.
Determine your result and the next action to take:
|
|
Step 4.1 - Run the task where the error pops up:
- Directly run the same task using the same parameters and settings...etc.
Determine your result and the next action to take:
|
|
Step 5 - Unplug the flow sensor and check the Temp:
This step is to check if the mainboard is having an issue reading the Temp. Usually, when the flow sensor is removed from the system, the Temp. reading should stay at 999°C or it will go in the range of 250°C - 300°C.
-
Remove the front metal cover. (Machine Off)
If you have already removed it, please skip this part.
- Remove the screen and connect the Type-C cable to the RK board.
(Make sure the white dot on the Type-C cable is facing up.)
-
Replug the flow sensor's cable on the mainboard.
(Refer to the diagram if your PCB board is not the same as the photo.)If you find it hard to do, you can unmount the air pump to make it easier.
- Go to "Control" and check the Temp.
Determine your result and the next action to take:
|
|
Step 5.1 - Repulg the flow sensor and try to cool down the machine:
This step is to check if the issue was caused by the improper connection of the flow sensor.
- Replug the cable of the flow sensor. (Refer to Step 5)
(Refer to the diagram if your PCB board is not the same as the photo below.)
- After replugging, try to cool down the machine to 27°C or below.
Make sure your room Temp. is below 27°C.
Determine your result and the next action to take:
|
|
Step 5.2 - Run the task where the error pops up:
- Directly run the same task using the same parameters and settings...etc.
Determine your result and the next action to take:
|
|
Step 6 - Re-update the Firmware:
Re-update the Firmware to the latest. Please refer to the link below.

Step 6.1 - Cool down the machine and run the same task:
- After the update, try to cool down the machine to 27°C or below.
Make sure your room Temp. is below 27°C.
- Directly run the same task using the same parameters and settings...etc.
