#912 Abnormal Fire Detection

Description

When the system detects that the flame sensor has been triggered, the task will be paused. Please check for any potential fire hazards.

Reading this article may not immediately resolve your issue. However, by carefully following the steps below, you will gather valuable information to help the FLUX team diagnose the problem more effectively.

Possible Reasons

  1. System Failure (reflash firmware, reset to factory settings, or reflash the RK board).
  2. Material ignition triggered the fire sensor.
  3. Direct sunlight triggered the fire sensor.
  4. Environmental lighting triggered the fire sensor.
  5. Mainboard failure caused signal reading errors.
  6. Fire sensor(s) malfunction (On the work LED baord).
  7. Fire sensor malfunction (On the camera & camera LED board on the laser head.)

Step 1 - Machine Location Confirmation

Please ensure your machine is not placed near a window or anywhere that will be exposed to sunlight.
If the location cannot be changed, please close the curtain to prevent sunlight from entering.
(Sunlight's wavelength is close to fire, so the sensors might be triggered when reading sunlight.)

Determine the result and the next action to take:

  • Yes, the machine is not exposed to sunlight >> Step 2

Step 2 - Check the Fire Sensor

Click on the touch panel: “Machine > Hardware Settings > Fire Sensor Test” to check the values shown in parentheses next to F3.

  • F3 represents the three sensors on the LED board, and the value in parentheses indicates the number of triggered sensors.
  • F1 represents the sensor on the laser head.
  • Confirm the total number of triggered sensors, F1 + F3.
    (For example, in the image above, F1 = 0 and F3 = 1, so 0 + 1 = 1; it indicates one sensor is triggered.

Determine the result and the next action to take:

  • Greater than or equal to 3 >> Go to Step 3
  • Less than or equal to 2 >> Go to Step 2.1

Step 2.1 - Adjust the Sensitivity of the Fire Sensor

Please set the sensitivity of the fire sensor to "LOW" and try again.
Click on the touch panel: “Machine > Hardware Settings > Fire Detect Switch > On > Set Sensitivity to ‘Low’”.

Fire Detect Switch Sensitivity setting instructions:

  • High: 1 sensor is triggered, and the warning will pop up.
  • Medium: 2 sensors are triggered, and the warning will pop up.
  • Low: 3 sensors are triggered, and the warning will pop up.

Determine the result and the next action to take:

  • I've set it to "LOW", but the problem persisits >> Step 3
  • I've set it to "LOW", and the problem is solved. >> Problem Solved.

Step 3 - Prevent the Environmental Lighting Interfering

  • Click on the touch panel: “Machine > Hardware Settings > Fire Sensor Test.”
  • Cover the machine's acrylic lid with an opaque material, and check if the values shown in parentheses next to F1 and F3 are both 0.

Determine the result and the next action to take:

  • F1 & F3 both are 0 >> The environmental lighting triggered the fire sensor. Please adjust the position of the machine or adjust the lighting.
    You may turn off the fire sensor detection to continue using the machine. However, please ensure that a person has to be there while the machine is working.
    (Machine > Hardware Settings > Fire Detect Switch > OFF > Save)

    • Possible cause:
      • The mainboard is down.
      • The work LED board with fire sensors is down.
      • The BB2 Camera & Flame Sensor & Cam LED Board is down.
