The cause of the Z-axis homing issue could be complex. Different symptoms relate to it, such as the system failing, the laser head won't move up or down at all, the top limit switch is down, etc. Please refer to the following steps to troubleshoot the Z-axis issue.
Possible causes
The system fails (Re-update the firmware or reflash RK board.)
The mainboard/MB/motherboard is malfunctioning.
The vertical(Z-axis) "Top" limit switch is malfunctioning.
The Z-axis step motor is malfunctioning. (Less likely)
Step 1
Lower the laser head and use a small piece of paper to test the Z-axis limit switch to see if the icon can be changed in the control mode.
Determine the test result and the next action to take.
The Z-axis icon can be changed as in the video >> Step 2
Z-axis homing calculation may be lost or corrupted.
