Description:
The error pops up when a low flow speed is detected in the system and the task will be paused.
The speed being slow will cause the laser tube to run at a higher temperature and it will result in reducing the lifespan of the tube.
Please follow the instructions below to troubleshoot the issue.
Possible Causes
|
Step 1 - Check if the water is 80% full:
| Note: If your machine doesn't have enough water, the flow speed may be lower, and the water pump may enter protective mode and won't be able to be turned on for a few minutes. |
-
Open the back metal cover with the Torx screwdriver.
- Check if the water level is 80%.
- Check if there is any leakage on the pump.
Determine your result and the next action to take:
|
|
|
Step 1.1 - Fill up the water:
- Please refer to the video in the link below to add more water to the pump.
[4-8 Cooling Water Replacement]
- After filling up the water, please check if the problem is solved by running a random task.
Determine your result and the next action to take:
|
|
Step 2 - Check if the water is clean:
Dirty water will affect the flow of the water. Make sure to have clean water in the system.
Determine your result and the next action to take:
|
|
Step 2.1 - Change water:
- Please refer to the video in the link below to change the water.
[4-8 Cooling Water Replacement]
- After changing the water, please check if the problem is solved by running a random task.
Determine your result and the next action to take:
|
|
Step 3 - Test the flow speed:
Please perform a flow speed test and see if the value is normal.
(Machine Panel > Machine > Hardware Settings > Flow Speed Test )
[1.5L/min or above will be a normal value. If the value is below 1.5L/min, it is abnormal.]
Determine your result and the next action to take:
|
|
Step 4 - Check the water hoses:
If you have a bad value that is bigger than 0L/min and smaller than 1.5L/min, this indicates your whole system works okay, but the flow speed is too low, and this might be caused by water hoses being bent or kinked.
-
Bent hose: (Bad example)
-
Please refer to the video below for instructions on inspecting the water hoses.
(The video is where you may want to see the water hoses.)
Determine your result and the next action to take:
|
|
|
Step 5 - Check if the water pump can be activated.
Please refer to the video below for how to perform the test.
If a water pump is activated successfully, the water inside the tank will be pumped, and you should feel it vibrating when touching it.
-
How to check:
(Machine panel > Control > Pump > Check the pump at the back)
Determine your result and the next action to take:
|
|
Step 5.1 - Check if the water pump can be activated.
If the water level is not high enough while the water pump is running, it will enter protective mode, meaning it will not be able to run.
- To exit this mode, turn off and remove the power cord. Wait at least 1 minute.
-
After 1 minute, turn on the machine to test if the water pump can be activated.
(Machine panel > Control > Pump > Check the pump at the back)
Determine your result and the next action to take:
|
|
|
Step 6 - Try to activate the water pump physically:
Please take the following actions to try to activate the water pump.
-
Remove the front metal cover. (Machine Off)
- Remove the screen and connect the Type-C cable to the RK board.
(Make sure the white dot on the Type-C cable is facing up.)
- Turn off the machine and unplug and replug the water pump's cable.
(Refer to the diagram if your PCB board is not the same as the photo.)
-
Open the cap of the water pump and use a hex key or any stick-like tool to reach the small turbine inside the water pump. Try to manually spin it. The purpose here is to release the turbine if it is stuck.
- Turn on the machine and see if the water pump can be activated.
(Machine panel > Control > Pump > Check the pump at the back)
Determine your result and the next action to take:
|
|
Step 7 - Replug the cable of the flow sensor:
A bad flow speed may be affected by the improper connection of the flow sensor.
-
Remove the front metal cover. (Machine Off)
If you have already removed it, please skip this part.
- Remove the screen and connect the Type-C cable to the RK board.
(Make sure the white dot on the Type-C cable is facing up.)
-
Replug the flow sensor's cable on the mainboard.
(Refer to the diagram if your PCB board is not the same as the photo.)If you find it hard to do, you can unmount the air pump to make it easier.
- Once you've replugged, please run a flow speed test and see how it goes.
(Refer to Step 3)
Determine your result and the next action to take:
|
|
Step 8 - Re-update the firmware
- Please re-pdate the firmware to a stable version.
(The purpose is to see if this is firmware issue related or hardware issue related.)
4-7 Firmware Update
- After the update, run a flow speed test again.
(Refer to Step 3)
Determine your result and the next action to take:
|
|
Step 9 - Report to the local reseller or FLUX Support:
- Please follow the instructions in the link below to properly report an issue to your local reseller or FLUX support. [Contact Customer Service]
*The collected information such as photos or videos that show the problem of your machine in this article will be necessary to be shared with the reseller or FLUX Support.
